Bye Bye CDMA, Hello GSM

August 5th, 2007 by Anand

After being on the CDMA network for a decade, finally we have moved, moved to GSM. I am yet to say GSM is great but my device is way better than my CDMA device. I don’t want to name the company in specific but they treat their old customers like dirt and don’t care much about doing business with them. Since I am on road quite often this days I wanted to upgrade and the GSM guys provided an awesome deal which I couldn’t pass on.

The Simpsons

August 3rd, 2007 by Anand

Man the best laugh I had in long long time. It was like watching the best episodes of Simpsons in a hugh screen. It was all about Homer. He ruled. People were ROTFL.

Rating - 4

A particular scene where kids were booing (all for fun)

Springfield is nuked, the whole town is destroyed except the school. Man the kids just went crazy.

North Pole is Ours

August 2nd, 2007 by Anand

That’s what Russia did yesterday by placing a flag below the North Pole. So what does it mean to the other nations who share a portion of North Pole. NO Trespassing. I think its one of those crazy ideas to tell the world that we have plenty of stuff. Not sure if it truly exist but a good way to raise the stakes. So now every nation that goes on oil and natural gas exploration in the open seas or no man’s land is going to plant a flag and claim the stakes. So is OIL is the most valued commodity or we addicted to oil 2 much. Anyway its time to change our habit. Going Green, Recycling & Conservation of natural Resources Will protect our home.

Anyone can cook

August 1st, 2007 by Anand

I am hooked to Top Chef on Bravo. The show rocks compared to the The Next Food Network Star on Food Network. I know both the shows target different audiences, but I do see quite a difference in the quality of participants & the dishes they prepare.

So what’s with the title. It’s from the animated movie Ratatouille. A total fun movie.

Rating - 4.

My other favorite cooking shows

  1. Iron Chef America hosted by Mark Decascos (the secret ingredient)
  2. Follow the food hosted by Gordon Elliot (for all places that he gets to travel & eat at great places)
  3. East meets west hosted by Ming Sai (he worked in Paris)
  4. Emeril Live hosted by Emeril Lagasse (Baammm Baammm)
  5. Take home chef hosted by Curtis Stone (he is from down under)
  6. Easy Entertaining hosted by Michael Chiarello (Home in Napa valley)
  7. Dinner Impossible hosted by Robert Irvine (truly impossible cooking management)
  8. Barefoot Contessa hosted by Ina Garten (Elegant & Hampton’s)
  9. Food 911 hosted by Tyler Florence (easy cooking)
  10. 30 Minutes Meal hosted by Rachael Ray (easy cooking)
