Redemption
December 23rd, 2006 by Anand
After his previous average movies (I, Robot, and Hitch) at the box office, this is going to be redemption for Will Smith. We decided to have a movie marathon for the holidays. Ended up watching “In pursuit of Happynessâ€.
One word says it all. MARVELOUS. Will Smith does an outstanding job as Chris Gardner, and I liked the way he played the character. Will Smith delivers a great performance and so does his real life son Jaden. The kid is terrific; the kid has got some of the best genes from dad & mom. Wonderful performance.
Chris Gardner’s story is of utter determination; if you want something in life, go get it, period!
Chris Gardner’s story was broadcast on 20/20 4-5 years back and Will Smith happen to see it and made a Oscar nominee out of it.
The best line â€Quitting is a Sinâ€.
The very last scene when Will and his son cross the street talking the knock-knock joke and the real Chris Gardner crosses the street.
I could keep writing…but let me stop here and you guys go & enjoy it in the theater.
Next on our list is Rocky Balboa & Night at the museum.
if it ain’t over, till its over.
UPDATES: dropped our plans of having a movie marathon as the above 2 movies didn’t meet our expectations
Good Shepherd seems to be good but 2 long (2 hrs & 50 minutes). May be I should get a large popcorn/soda & head for the show.
