2 Cents

February 10th, 2006 by Anand

No competition to 50 cents. He is the Da club. I normally dont like writing about movies in general as it spoils the fun of watching it but anyway decided to go ahead and write about this one. Almost 50 % of the Indian bloggers has talked about this movie “Rang De Basanti”. Adding my 2 cents to the review board.

So what’s up with this movie? Why so much of coverage. Is that the people were expecting a Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai performance from Aamir or the best of best from ARR. I would say, 2 much of coverage has made this movie into a box office hit.

I don’t want to talk in detail about the movie and spoil the fun for others who haven’t watched it. Sure it is worth a watch @ your nearest movie theatre. It’s all about modern India fusion with history, the great Indian uprising that resulted in Inquilab zindabad and the struggle for freedom.

First was Lagaan, later Mangal Pandey, Now Rang De Basanti, what next for Aamir ???

Overall review:
1 time @ the movie theatre, First half was good. Light and jovial. Typical college life. Who cares attitude!!! Baap ka paisa ;-)
Atul Kulkarni, was @ his best. Hope Atul and Nana are paired in a movie together. would be a treat to watch.
Music good to listen on Ipod.
Background music – negative.

Lesson: “Stop bitching start a revolution” but the question is who first …….. Remember the 10 Principles that Anil advocates in Taal.

on a side note:
Chris rock: “God bless everyone, God bless Haiti, God bless Africa”
G.W.Bush: “God bless America”

Listen, No point complaining politicans alone for this mess. We all belong to the same boat. They wont change, but why not we change.

No one is asking your to follow RDB, who knows if Aamir will pay his taxes from the profit he accumulated from RDB.

U change..I change…that is the point !!! Individuals like you and me and many more can make a difference in life.
