Goodbye Tokyo …Welcome Oslo
The toppling of Tokyo marks the end of an era. Since 1991 the Japanese capital has held the top spot.
A coffee in Oslo cost approx $2
A nice dinner with wine cost $300
A movie ticket cost $15
The five most expensive cities in the world are Oslo, Tokyo, Reykjavik, Osaka, Japan and Paris.
The five cheapest cities are Tehran, Manila, Karachi, Pakistan, Mumbai, India and Asuncion, Paraguay.

Mumbai the cheapest city in India? I doubt so…. Chennai is cheaper than Mumbai. A guy with Rs. 50 can survive a day in Chennai as well as a guy with 1 lakh

I agree with U. Chennai would win hands down when compared to Mumbai, Bangaloru or Delhi.
Not sure what factors were considered by this firm to evaluate the costliest & cheapest cities.

How can Mumbai be classified as cheap (by any standard) - Land is as expensive as any other city in the world.

Yeh true Ideamani, I have been googling for the factors based on which they determine the costliest & cheapest city. No luck. Let me know if U find something.
